We have one of the most modern Scientific Research Laboratories in Central Europe. The Laboratory includes experienced specialists in the field of cosmetology, allergology, dermatology and biotechnology. Their passion, commitment and dedication to the brand is our greatest asset.
THE SAFETY OF INGREDIENTS AND THEIR COMPLEXES
The introduction of new active ingredients, their research and development – this has been our everyday life for over 35 years.
We have checked more than 5 000 active ingredients for safety so far. Tests were always conducted with the participation of people with skin that is sensitive and prone to allergies.
Due to the stringent criteria for the selection of specific ingredients, only one in ten is approved for research processes.

WE MONITOR THE EFFECTS OF THE PRODUCTS
We abide by a restrictive procedure that allows to identify the possible adverse effects of cosmetics.
We carefully analyse information on adverse effects provided in special questionnaires. Our customers can count on the full diagnostic support of our dermatologist. We are committed to determine the cause of adverse effects in every case.

2 step WE CREATE FORMULAS BY COMBINING EXPERIENCE WITH A VISION OF THE FUTURE Our work is a technological journey into the future. Drawing upon the vast knowledge of our experts and the latest discoveries in cosmetology, we develop our own patents for uniquely safe and effective formulas.: TOTAL ELIMINATION OF ALLERGENS
We have eliminated 26 components from AA products that have been defined as allergens. This means that they are not present in any of our cosmetics in any concentration or any form.
INCREASED SAFETY STANDARDS
All the ingredients that we use, even those with an unconfirmed potential to irritate the sking, are examined in specific formulas and complexes.
We use highly-effective active substances in concentrations that are optimal for their efficacy. Always in a form that is safe for sensitive skin.
We obtain raw materials from the most renowned global suppliers. Each ingredient holds a full portfolio of certificates confirming its highest level of purity.

INNOVATIVE PATENTS AND PATENT APPLICATIONS
We develop our own innovative ingredients together with the Particle Engineering Laboratory®.
A breakthrough was using the lipid microspheres system¹ and associating it with the vector communication carrier in the skin using the lamellar system ² .
Further development included the reconstruction of barrier systems by means of liquid crystal technology³ and LIC anti-Age support^4.

HYPOALLERGENIC FRAGRANCE COMPOSITIONS
If we take into account the special requirements of sensitive skin, a fragrance composition can be a real challenge. Only 5 percent of the available fragrances meet our safety requirements. Each composition must be compatible with the formula of the cosmetic product. This means that in order to select the target scent of a product, we often need to test up to a hundred others.

SAFE AND EFFECTIVE PIGMENTS
Products for brightening or improving skin colour may contain substances colouring the product. Traditional colour additives are often used in such cosmetics. In the case of AA facial care products, we use pigments – colour additives of high quality, specially encapsulated so that they have no irritating effects on the skin during application.
SAFE FOR THE EYES
Products for the most sensitive body areas require special formulas. If the product may come into contact with the eyes, and it is not washed off, we use special safety measures. That is why our skin care products for areas around the eyes, make-up removers and facial cleansers are always fragrance-free.

On average, one in 100 tested fragrance compositions meets AA safety requirements.

3 step WE STUDY, TEST AND CONSULT Each of our formulas is tested for safety. Each preparation must confirm 100% that it does not cause irritation during tests on persons with allergic skin.: Dermatological tests – safety studies
Tests performed on the skin of the back, on an outpatient basis. The allergist takes a special tissue and that is moistened with the preparation and sticks it on to the skin for 48 hours. After this time, he checks for inflammatory reactions.
The occurrence of even a single irritation reaction causes the rejection of the formula.
Application tests – effectiveness studies
Application studies are an additional, several-week assessment of the efficacy and safety of the product’s daily use.
Tests carried out under the supervision of dermatologists finally confirm the effectiveness of the preparations and contribute to the decision to launch the product onto the market.
All the participants of this research are allergy patients.

Studies on the attractiveness of use
The use of cosmetics should be a pleasure. That is why we test their application qualities, texture and the attractiveness of their fragrance compositions.
Before the final decision on the formula of a given product is made, we consult with the users of our products.
We examine the fragrance compositions. Thanks to this kind of assessment of the attractiveness of the fragrance, we can better adapt it to a selected product.
We organise consultations to determine the convenience of use and the attractiveness of the product’s texture. Consumers receive products that match their skin type and for a limited time use them in everyday skin care in order to assess them.
We have conducted over 60,000 test and research trials so far.

4 step WE MAINTAIN THE HIGHEST STANDARDS IN PRODUCTION The last step requires a lot of precision and meticulousness. All our cosmetics are created in accordance with the guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practice, defining each stage of production, every detail and every action of our employees. The maintenance of high standards is confirmed by regular audits.: World-class level
All our facilities are equipped with state of the art equipment, possessed only by the world’s best companies. We were the first Polish cosmetics company to receive the GMP certificate and our formulas have gained the recognition of professionals around the world.
Hygienic surroundings and thorough control
The production process is controlled at every stage and is conducted according to strict hygiene rules. This reduces bacteriological risks to a minimum. We apply the highest standards in production. In our factory, we also produce drugs and medical devices.

Water of the highest purity
We use water from our own deep-water intake in the production of AA cosmetics. After extraction, we purify it by reverse osmosis, thus depriving it from dirt, micro-organisms and dissolved mineral salts and metals. This is the way to achieve the highest standard of cleanliness and safety.
We try harder
We are ambitious and we make sure that AA cosmetics meet strict requirements. If, according to legal regulations, no more than 1% of a given preservative can be used in the cosmetic product, then our technologists try to reduce this content by at least five times. We make sure that the formula is sufficiently protected using the smallest possible amount of preservatives.
